  This Week. Family Health Plan
1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.
3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement,'My purpose for today is: ________
4. Eat more foods that grow on plants, and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.

  Fitness is important
The most important part of getting fit is to stop making excuses not to, Dixon says. We all are crunched for time, sore, and just looking for an excuse to stay in our jammies.
But no excuse is good enough for you not to take care of your health. Start taking a “no-ifs,-ands,-or-buts-about-it” attitude toward fitness.

  Keeping healthy in baby times
Of the joys and challenges you face in life, none is more extraordinary than having your first baby.
From the moment you find out that you are pregnant to the day you give birth, you will experience many changes and learn new ways to take care of yourself and your growing baby.

The Narh-Bita Hospital was established by Dr. Edward Atter Narh (a Family Physician Consultant) and Mrs. Beatrice Afua Narh (a nurse by Profession) on the 1st August 1979, with the aim of contributing to healthcare delivery to the surrounding community. The hospital started from humble beginnings with a two-bedroom facility and a staff strength of three; the Medical Officer, the nurse who also doubled as a dispenser and an orderly. Over the years, by the dint of hard work, determination and good client care, Narh-Bita Hospital has grown into one of the largest private hospitals in the Tema metropolis, providing both general and specialist care to clients as well as organizing outreaches and health education programs to surrounding communities. The founder of the hospital, having noticed the acute shortage of nurses in the health care system and how that affected health care delivery in general, embarked on a mission to establish a nursing school attached to the hospital to provide quality health care training to health care assistants, nurses, laboratory technicians and physician assistants. These trainees, upon graduation could then work anywhere in the world. That dream became a reality when the first batch of students started their training in July 2004, making Narh-Bita Hospital the first private hospital with a nursing school (now a college) attached. This greatly improved quality of care and hence the image of the facility drawing clients from far and near. The hospital currently serves as a training institution for not only Narh-Bita students but students from other private and government training institutions in Ghana and all over the world.

To build a multi-purpose Hospital with satellite centers, providing comprehensive quality health care to the increasing urban and rural population.

The hospital is located in Tema Community four, opposite the Chemu Secondary school. It is situated in a residential area. It is bordered by a supermarket (Evergreen Supermarket) on the eastern border; two churches, residential homes and a secondary school on the western border; a major road directly on the northern border followed by a park and a school and then more residential homes on the southern border.
